Micro Tints
Micro Tints ®
The Micro-Tint System is a revolutionary product to facilitate and shorten processes in lens finishing. Normal, CR39 lenses can be tinted to a dark shade in less than a minute, and Hi-Index, hard coated and polycarbonate lenses can be tinted in just 8 minutes or less. Used in conjunction with a microwave, this system does not require the use of Heat Transfer Fluid and therefore avoids the associated fumes.
The system works on the principal that the hotter the dyes, the faster they tint lenses, and are formulated to have optimum performance at boiling point when heated by radiation. Unlike conventional dyes, however, they will not rapidly degenerate when they reach boiling point, hence will last longer. Please not that the Conditioner is required prior to tinting.
Also available in the Micro-Tint range are Neutraliser, Micro-UV, Scratch Guard, Blue Light Blocker and 4 in 1 (UV, Scratch Anti-Stat and Anti-Fog all in one solution!).
