We are delighted to be able to introduce the HydroOptix MEGA 4.5DD dive mask to our extensive range of Sports Vision.
This revolutionary dive mask has been hitting the headlines in the dive world recently. Designed to deliver panoramic views that are true-distance and true-sized and eliminate the blurring and shape distortions caused by traditional flat masks.
Although sometimes described as 'insect like' the curved double dome mask puts your eyes in the centre of a dome enabling razor-sharp vision throughout your entire view. The tough, scratch resistant, polycarbonate lenses approximate a -4.5 diopter correction making it an ideal mask for nearsighted divers as vision will be perfect underwater.
However, with such phenomenal results many divers with near perfect vision are opting to make themselves 'artifically' nearsighted with the use of disposable contact lenses. Whilst this may sound crazy, with dive time under water being so valuable surely it deserves a razor-sharp view almost 5X greater than anything else ever used, this is often a small sacrifice.
One of the best analogies given by an expereinced diver is that diving with the HydroOptix is like stepping outdoors rather than just looking through a window.
Another great feature of this mask is the two large Twin-Turbo purge valves located under each lens enabling any water to be cleared with a gentle blow.
